In February 2019, we did a two-week tour exploring countries in Asia. Our first stop was Hong Kong. We took a direct flight from Newark Airport (EWR) located in New Jersey to Hong Kong on United Airlines. We also exchanged currency at this airport to get the Hong Kong dollar. This was a 16-hour flight. Whenever we have long flights like this, and not flying first class, we opt to get seats with nobody sitting in front of us to give us more legroom and space. This will also allow our son to move around a little more freely without disturbing other passengers.
Upon arrival, we navigated through the massive airport to find the shuttle bus to take us to the hotel. The shuttle was located on the lower level. We stayed at the Marriott directly across from the airport. We arrived late and were hungry. Check-in was a breeze and very efficient. We were able to order room service and our order was promptly delivered. The food was delicious.
The next day we headed to Disneyland Hong Kong. There was a free shuttle bus that picked us up from the hotel to take us there. It was a cloudy and dreary day but we didn’t let that stop our sunshine! We explored Disney and all it had to offer. Our favorite is still Disney World in Florida but it’s nice to be able to explore other Disney parks.
There are so many fun activities to do with kids in Hong Kong. Check out this link of things to do https://www.chinahighlights.com/hong-kong/things-to-do-with-kids.htm We weren’t able to do a lot due to our short stay there and resting after a long flight. Overall, this was a great trip. Definitely worth revisiting!
