We cruised on one of the largest cruise ships in the world! Royal Caribbean’s Symphony of the Seas is an Oasis Class ship and is considered to be one of the largest cruise ships in the world. This was a 7-night cruise leaving from Miami. For this cruise, we had an accessible loft suite. The suite had two levels and was so nice. As a Diamond Plus member with Royal Caribbean, we receive extra perks when we sail.
Upon arrival, we were able to check in the suite guest line. This is so convenient because we avoid the lines. Little to no lines are key when you are traveling with small kids. When we arrived to our room there was a layout of the perks, tips, and itineraries in our stateroom. This is always a nice treat for me. We receive things such as beverages and snacks like chocolate covered strawberries to enjot upon our arrival.
The loft suite had an elevator since it is an accessible room. So cool! There is a full bathroom on the second floor and a half bath on the first floor. This room has one king size bed and a sofabed. Our son is still young so a lot of times he still sleeps in the bed with us. One of the best featured I love with suites that are Grand Suites and above, we have the option of having the dinner that is being served in the main dining area to our stateroom. I love this option because after being out all day I sometimes don’t feel like getting ready to do dinner at the dinner room. This gives me the perfect ambiance that I need to relax. Just imagine being on the ship in your room eating lobster or some other fancy meal. It’s an awesome feeling. You also have more breakfast options staying in this class suite.
The ship cruised to several destinations to include, Cozumel, MX; Roatan, Honduras; Costa Maya, MX; and Nassau, Bahamas. All destinations were great! I know so people prefer to stay longer at locations but I like the fact that we can visit and see if we get a good vibe from that location and that will determine if we return. You still get an experience without staying for a period of time at one place. Many experiencing the food and the culture. All of the ports have something for you to do near the ship so you don’t always need to book excursions.
One the ship there is so much to do. There is a play area and daycare onboard the ship. This helps parents out so much because you can get a break. We often use the daycare service on the ship. There is a small fee of $6-8 an hour and it’s worth it. Children are fed while there and you are given a phone in the event they need to contact you. Definely something that I love when traveling with my son.
Overall, this was an awesome trip! I should also mention that this trip was taken during thanksgiving week and on Thanksgiving day we were served a traditional American style feast. I highly recommend this cruise for families!.
